HOW TO CREATE E BOOK WITH THE KDP OF AMAZON?
Amazon offers a service called Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) that allows authors and publishers to easily create and distribute e-books on Amazon.com. Here are the steps to create an e-book using KDP:
Sign in or create an account on KDP: Go to kdp.amazon.com and sign in with your existing Amazon account or create a new one.
Create a new title: Once you're signed in, click on the "Create a New Title" button on your KDP dashboard. This will take you to the book creation process.
Enter your book details: Enter the details of your book, including the title, author name, description, keywords, and categories.
Upload your manuscript: You can upload your manuscript in several formats, including Word, HTML, or ePub. KDP will automatically convert your file into a Kindle-compatible format.
Add your cover: You can either create a cover using Amazon's Cover Creator tool or upload your own cover design.
Set your price: You can set your e-book price and choose between 35% or 70% royalty options.
Preview your e-book: You can preview your e-book using the KDP Previewer to ensure everything looks as expected.
Publish your e-book: Once you're satisfied with your e-book, click the "Publish Your Kindle eBook" button to make it available for purchase on Amazon.com.
That's it! Amazon will review your e-book and make it available for purchase within 24-48 hours. You can track your sales and earnings through your KDP dashboard.
TYPE OF KDP IN AMAZON?
There are a few different types of KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) accounts available on Amazon: Individual KDP account: This is a free account that allows you to publish and sell e-books on Amazon.com. With an individual account, you can earn up to 70% royalty on your sales and access Amazon's marketing tools. Kindle Unlimited (KU) and Kindle Owners' Lending Library (KOLL) account: With this type of account, you can enroll your e-book in Amazon's subscription-based services, KU and KOLL. Readers can borrow and read your e-book for free, and you can earn royalties based on the number of pages read. KDP Select: This is a program that allows you to enroll your e-book in Amazon's KU and KOLL services and earn additional promotional benefits. In exchange, you agree to make your e-book exclusive to Amazon for a period of 90 days. KDP Print: In addition to e-books, KDP also allows you to publish paperback books using KDP Print. This service allows you to create a print version of your e-book, which will be listed for sale on Amazon.com alongside the e-book version. It's important to note that you can have multiple types of KDP accounts, and you can switch between them at any time.
